Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation has been used in many medical situations. Most commonly it is given in A&E departments to patients with pain especially pregnant women as it has a calming effect as well as pain relieving properties. At Broad Street Dental our team have over 10 years experience delivering nitrous oxide sedation. Relax in our comfortable environment with the knowledge you will be well cared for.

Oral Sedation

For patients with severe anxiety we have alternative options such as oral or nasal sedation which can help in situations where patients have a true needle phobia or cannot comfortably breathe through the nitrous oxide mask.

IV Sedation

The most common method of sedation is IV sedation where a small cannula is used to deliver a drip of sedative that can be regulated to ensure that you are comfortable and well sedated throughout longer procedures. The effect of sedation is one of a deep sleep where you will be continually monitored by our expert staff. We operate with a dedicated sedation nurse and clinician ensuring that you are in a comfortable and relaxed state throughout.
